5. Haunted Halloween Spooktacular Display

Halloween is the perfect time to let your imagination run wild with playful, spooky decorations. For a sophisticated yet fun Halloween tiered tray, stick to a classic color palette of black, white, and pops of bright orange or lime green. Start by crafting miniature book stacks. Take three small paperback books from a thrift store, paint the spines black or white, and use alphabet stamps to print spooky titles like “Spells,” “Potions,” and “Witches’ Brew” on the spines. Tie the stack together with black twine.
Add a touch of whimsy with DIY yarn ghosts. Wrap white yarn around a piece of cardboard multiple times, tie it at the top, cut the bottom loops, and tie a separate string around the upper section to create a head. Use a black marker or small beads to make eyes. You can hang these little ghosts from the upper edges of your tray. Fill small glass vials with colored water and label them as “Spider Venom” or “Bat Wings” using printable vintage labels. Finish the display with faux cobwebs and a few plastic spiders draped over the tiers.
