9. Create a Fold-Down Prep Table or Breakfast Bar

10

Counter space is often the single biggest casualty of a small kitchen. If you do not have room for an island or a kitchen table, build a wall-mounted fold-down table. Using a durable butcher block remnant and heavy-duty folding shelf brackets, you can create a sturdy drop-leaf table attached to an empty wall. When it is time to chop vegetables or enjoy a quick morning cup of coffee, simply flip it up and lock it into place. When you are finished, fold it flat against the wall to restore your walking path.
