8. Tree Stump Side Tables
If you or a neighbor recently had a tree removed, don’t let the wood go to waste. Tree stumps make gorgeous, organic side tables.
- The Process: Strip the bark, sand the top smooth, and apply a clear waterproof sealant.
- Style Tip: Add hairpin legs (available cheaply online) to the bottom to elevate the stump and give it a “mid-century modern” twist.
