5. A Curated Photo Album With Handwritten Captions

There’s a difference between a photo album and a photo book. The first is something you flip through with her on the couch. The second is something she’ll pull off the shelf when she wants to remember a specific morning, a specific trip, a specific version of the two of you.
Go through your camera rolls, your old phones, the shoebox in the closet. Pick photos that mean something — not the most polished ones, but the ones that hold a feeling. The blurry one from the concert. The sunrise on a trip you almost didn’t take. The photo she didn’t know you took.
Print and bind through a quality photo book service, or do it the slow way with a linen-bound album and printed photos. Write the captions yourself, by hand if possible. Keep them short. A date, a place, a one-line note. The album becomes a record of how you saw her before anyone else did.
Time: 4–8 hours of selection and writing, 1–2 weeks for printing
Budget: $40–$120
Difficulty: moderate, mostly emotional labor
