9. Elegant Woven Wheel Rose Bouquet

The woven wheel stitch, also known as the spiderweb rose, is one of the most impressive-looking stitches in embroidery, yet it is surprisingly easy to execute. It creates a stunning, three-dimensional rose that sits proud of the fabric, instantly adding a dramatic, tactile element to your hoop art.
To make a woven wheel rose, start by stitching five straight spokes radiating from a central point, like a star. Bring your needle up near the center and simply weave your thread over and under the spokes in a circle, repeating the process until the spokes are completely covered and a thick, dimensional rose has formed. Group three or five of these roses of varying sizes in the center of your hoop. Fill in the gaps with simple green leaves made from fishbone stitches or lazy daisy stitches. This classic floral design looks incredibly complex but can easily be completed in a single afternoon by a beginner.
