4. Layered Wood Sign with Seasonal Message
Layered wood signs give that high-end farmhouse look without the high-end price. By cutting different elements from various vinyl colors and applying them to a wooden base, you can recreate that boutique feel right at home.
Materials include a wood plank or pre-cut wood sign from a craft store, two or three colors of adhesive vinyl, transfer tape, a measuring tape, and command strips or sawtooth hangers for mounting. Design each layer separately in Design Space, cut and weed each one, and apply them one at a time, aligning the registration marks carefully.
Allow 60 to 90 minutes for a clean result. This project works well for intermediate crafters but is forgiving enough for beginners. The most common frustration is misalignment between layers, so use the alignment guides in Design Space and mark your center before applying. Display the sign on a shelf, lean it against a window, or swap out the top layer for every season to keep your decor fresh year-round.
