5. Stacked Pumpkin Topiary

Stacked pumpkin topiary in orange white and black on a front porch

A pumpkin topiary brings instant curb appeal without a single carve mark. Three graduated faux pumpkins on a dowel create a sculptural look that works from early fall through Thanksgiving.

Mix orange, white, and black pumpkins for a modern farmhouse feel, or go all-orange for tradition. Tuck faux leaves around the base to hide the mechanics.

What You’ll Need

  • 3 faux pumpkins in graduated sizes
  • Wooden dowel or broom handle
  • Urn, planter, or large flowerpot
  • Floral foam block
  • Faux fall leaves and berries
  • Hot glue gun

How to Make

  1. Press the floral foam firmly into the planter.
  2. Push the dowel through the foam so it stands upright.
  3. Thread the pumpkins onto the dowel, largest at the bottom.
  4. Glue faux leaves and berries around the base to hide the foam.
  5. Set by your front door and admire your zero-carve masterpiece.
